GRACE CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS

Grace Christian Schools Board oversees the operation, development, and expansion of the Preschool, Afterschool, and Afterschool Tutoring ministries that are based at the facilities of Grace Lutheran Church. The goal of the Board is to meet the spiritual, educational, and social needs of the many children in our congregation and community by providing a safe and nurturing Christian environment. Grace Christian Preschool and Grace Afterschool Program are open to children from families of all faiths. Bible stories, Christian songs, and prayers are taught from a general Christian perspective.

Grace Christian Preschool and Grace Afterschool Program admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. We do not discriminate on the basis or race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of educational policies, admissions policies, and any other school-administered programs.

TUTORING MINISTRY
The weekly Afterschool Tutoring Ministry is staffed by volunteers from the Grace congregation. Participants in the program are first-graders from Prosperity-Rikard Elementary who are recommended by school staff. First-graders are offered help with basic reading, math and spelling skills. Most importantly, this program allows children to build relationships with positive adult role models.

Originally known as “Wednesday’s Child”, the Tutoring Ministry has been reaching out to help area children for the past 12 years and will begin its 13th year on October 14. Tutoring Ministry meets from 2:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. each Wednesday that school is in session during the school year, except for early release days, which fall on Wednesday.

LUNCH PALS
Lunch Pal volunteers meet at the church on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 11:15 a.m. to go to nearby Prosperity-Rikard Elementary School to share lunch with elementary students who need time with caring adults. Share a smile with a child - and enjoy a free lunch!
