CONFIRMATION MINISTRY, for middle schoolers in grades eight and above who have not yet been confirmed, is a two-year intensive program of faith-and-life formation, culminating in the students’ public affirmation of faith on their Confirmation Sunday (either Pentecost Sunday in the spring or Reformation Sunday in the fall). Year One focus is the Bible; Year Two focus is the Small Catechism (Ten Commandments, Apostles’ Creed, Lord’s Prayer, Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion). Special outings and additional faith experiences are held outside of class time, including a 1-week summer Confirmation Camp at Lutheridge. Pastor Eric Fink is the leader for Confirmation Ministry.
Two groups of Confirmation students are now meeting. The 2nd year class is 9th graders; the 1st year class if 8th graders. Please contact Pastor Eric Fink if you are interested in your child participating in one of these classes.
