GRACE LUTHERAN MEN IN MISSION

The primary mission of Grace Lutheran Men in Mission is to strengthen the spiritual, intellectual and social development of the men of the Church, and to deepen commitment to Christ and participation in the life of His Church. Grace Lutheran Men in Mission (GLMM) provides spiritual and financial support to the ministry programs of Grace and to the ministries of the South Carolina Lutheran Men in Mission (SCLMM) as well as the ELCA Men in Mission Master Builders Program. All adult male members of Grace Lutheran Church are members of GLMM. GLMM adheres to the guidelines and constitution of the SCLMM. GLMM is an auxiliary of SCLMM of the South Carolina Synod of the ELCA.

GLMM meets on a monthly basis, if scheduling permits. GLMM participates in the quarterly Heartland Conference meetings and events. GLMM also participates in all SCLMM meetings and events. GLMM Sunday at Grace is usually celebrated in September of each year with the men of Grace leading the service. GLMM provides the meal and entertainment at the yearly Shrove Tuesday pancake and sausage supper. GLMM sponsors two steak suppers one in the spring and one in the fall. Proceeds from these events are used to support the ministries of GLMM and SCLMM. It is a goal of GLMM to strive to be an outstanding unit according to the guidelines set forth in the SCLMM Directory.

Grace Lutheran Men received an Outstanding Unit Award at the state Lutheran Men in Mission Convention held Feb. 20, 2010 in Greenville.

Lutheran Men are sponsoring a Help Project to help seniors or others who need a helping hand with repair work or odd jobs. If you need assistance or know someone who does, please fill out a slip and place it in the "Help Project" box.
