In 2004, the Christian Schools Board established a MAP Fund (Member Assistance Program) that allows Christian School families and congregation members to receive counseling at a reduced rate. The Family Ministry Account funds the MAP program, pays for workshops, and can offer assistance to families in crisis. See Pastor Eric about counseling services.
LUTHERAN FAMILY SERVICES
Lutheran Family Services of the Carolinas offers services such counseling for families. It also sponsors group homes and foster care for children; residential services for adults; and refugee and immigration services.
LUTHERAN HOMES OF SC
Lutheran Homes of South Carolina ministers to older adults in five strategically located continuing care retirement communities. Lutheran Homes is a non-profit organization and serves over 1,000 residents daily at Benzie T. Rice Home in Columbia, Franke at Seaside in Mount Pleasant, Lowman Home in White Rock, RoseCrest in Inman, and Trinity Lutheran Home in Aiken.
LUTHERAN HOSPICE
Lutheran Hospice provides care for hospice patients and their families each day through three regional offices of Lutheran Hospice that are located in Mount Pleasant, Columbia, and Greer. Lutheran Hospice services are available to patients with life-limiting illnesses who can no longer benefit from curative treatment and usually have life expectancies of six months or less, as determined by a physician. Lutheran Hospice is a ministry of Lutheran Homes of South Carolina.
