An estimated 400 Trick or Treaters visited the parking lot at Grace for Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010. Youngsters received traditional candy, but also left with a special note reminding them that Jesus loves them. A good time was had by all!
Martin Luther (aka Pastor Eric) greeted Trick or Treaters as they entered the parking lot. Luther is remembered as the leader of the Reformation which began on Oct. 31, 1517 with his nailing of the 95 Theses to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany.
Serious discussion between Martin Luther and a young Trunk-or-Treator. "We are saved by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ." (Thanks to Laura Neel for this photo.)
Children also had the opportunity to nail a slip of paper with their name on it on the Reformation door, reminiscent of Martin Luther's nailing the 95 Theses to the church door.
